EU lifts ban on import of Ukrainian chicken

The European Commission has published a decision to lift the ban on import and transit of Ukrainian chicken meat through the EU. This was announced on Facebook by the representative of Ukraine to the EU Mykola Tochitsky.

He noted that the European Commission not only lifted the ban, but also applied the zoning regime to Ukraine for the first time in the context of an outbreak of bird flu.

According to Tochitsky, it is also planned to introduce an early warning mechanism in the agricultural sector, which will contribute to the timely prevention and proper fight against diseases of animals and plants and to prevent their possible negative impact on trade relations between Ukraine and the EU.
